Africa Day
Africa Day will take place on Sunday May 16th from 12-6pm in the Iveagh Gardens, Dublin 2.
Near90fm has covered Africa Day for the past two years and, in 2010 - with support from the Simon Cumbers Media Fund - the station will increase its coverage and promotion of the flagship Dublin event by having an on-site presence.
Throughout the day, Near90fm will broadcast live from Africa Day Dublin, conducting interviews, playing African themed music vibes with event visitors and participants. Call by the station's Outside Broadcast van and space in the Education Zone to meet some of its journalists; get free badges, balloons and t-shirts, and maybe even get your comments broadcast live on air!

Green Flag Day & Celebrate Life week
Two recent Outside Broadcasts from near90fm.
Green Flag Day at Colaiste Dhulaigh 29th April 2010, pictures with the green committee from the college and minister John Gormley TD. Colaiste Dhulaigh is the first college for further education achieving the Green Flag.
Live OB with Noel from Darndale during ‘Celebrate Life week’ organised by youth service Sphere 17 to highlight positive living and suicide prevention. The OB was Monday 26th April.
