Students from Transition Year at Gaelcholáiste Reachrann in Donaghmede visited the studios of Near90 Fm in Coolock recently to make an Irish language programme for  the Sound & Vision funded series ‘Mol An Óige’.

The series gives an opportunity to participants to showcase the life of their school through the Irish language and its associated culture. Among those present from Gaelcholáiste Reachrann were musicians, athletes and future broadcasters, some of whom took part in the annual Gael Linn Radio Competition.

The students were accompanied by their mentor and teacher Brian Ó Cróinín. The sound engineer on the day was Aoife Ní Chanadh and the producer for Near90 Fm was Ken Tuohy. This is the second series of Mol An Óige to be made by Near90 Fm in association with Gaelscoileanna in northeast Dublin.
