Minister of State, Trevor Sargent T.D launching 'The Dynamo Effect'

Near 90fm's new environmental series 'The Dynamo Effect' was launched on
Tuesday, 19th January by Minister of State at the Department of Agriculture,
Fisheries and Food Trevor Sargent T.D. at The Greenhouse, 17 St. Andrew
Street.

'The Dynamo Effect' is a lively and informative series of 30 programmes (30
minutes each) around sustainable living and energy conducted with the
assistance from Cultivate living and learning. The programme is a collective
project set up with the collaboration of six other European community radio
stations and will be broadcast on over 300 community radio stations all over
Europe. The aim of the project is to promote knowledge of the best practices
in sourcing and consuming energy and to encourage the use of new and
environmentally friendly technologies. This will fill the gap between new
opportunities (products present on the normal market) and their widespread
adoption by raising citizens' awareness and promoting changes in behaviour.

Episode 1 of 'The Dynamo Effect' will be broadcast this Wednesday at 6.30pm
and will continue at the same day and time for the next 30 weeks. Don't
